Account Executive
(Outside Sales)

Creative Automation is looking for experienced Account Executives to work out of our corporate offices in Hillside, Illinois. Creative Automation is a full service provider of direct marketing solutions that has been offering database development and maintenance, address hygiene, duplicate identification, CRM, BI, forms printing, imaging, and finishing & mailing since 1969.

Responsibilities
1. Successfully sell Creative Automation’s Direct Marketing Solutions
2. Maintain contact with clients, prospects, and internal staff
3. Creative Automation’s sales staff takes a consultative approach in working with their prospects and clients. Must be able to discover and understand client/prospect goals and work with internal staff to develop a solution meeting objectives
4. Work with Creative Automation’s development staff to determine new capabilities that would provide unique solutions for clients
5. Lead the development of proposals by communicating with various departments within the organization
6. Promote Creative Automation in the marketplace via speaking engagements
7. Work with marketing group to develop promotional strategies which includes public relations, events, and direct marketing
8. Demonstrate offerings to prospective clients at industry events
9. Travel as needed, some overnights required

Qualifications
1. A minimum of five years of selling database services including data management, database development, CRM, and BI and/or a minimum of five years of selling direct mail productions services including forms printing, personalization, and finishing and mailing
2. Self motivated, self managed
3. Strong understanding of technology
4. Successful and demonstrated sales track record
5. Experience in cold calling and establishing new client relationships
6. Effective at selling solutions at the C-Level
7. Proposal writing experience
8. Strong presentation skills

Programmer

Successful candidates must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a direct marketing service bureau environment. In addition, you must have a background in direct marketing computer processing including knowledge of file conversion, merge/purge and postal processing. We are looking for team players who are customer oriented with strong communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities include interpreting marketing instructions given by the Account Representative, learning and utilizing systems and procedures, flow-charting job steps necessary to complete each project, implementing quality control procedures, processing reports, and ensuring that all deadlines are met.

All of our programming applicants are required to take a programming logic test. This test consists of 8 problems that does not require knowledge of any programming language. Math skills and logical thinking skills used. The purpose of this test is to see the level of logical thinking the candidate has. Each problem has a set of “steps or instructions” to follow. Some problems require knowledge of “flow-charting” and some require math. This test has been taken by entry level and experienced programmers alike. We look for a score of 75% or better which gives us an idea of the candidate’s logical thinking process. The test takes 2 hours and the interview takes 1 hour.
