Arun K., President

Arun K. serves as President of Vmark, the parent company of Creative Automation. Arun oversees all of the day-to-day operations at Creative Automation and also coordinates all of the sales between the Vmark companies. Arun graduated from Purdue University in 2000 with a major in Management, and in 2008 with an MBA at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.

Martin Kurpiel

Martin Kurpiel, President of Computer Services

Since being in the Direct Marketing industry since 1978, Marty Kurpiel is an essential part of what makes Creative Automation successful. Marty has an exceptional wealth of knowledge and experience in regards to each facet of the direct marketing process. Working his way up through the company, Marty was able to develop a thorough understanding of what works and how to expedite industry processes. His hands on experience with research and development and database technologies continues as he leads the technology teams at Creative Automation into the latest advances needed in today’s industry. Currently holding the position as President of Computer Services, Marty leads his staff to produce the highest quality services and products for the direct marketing industry. His constant drive to continue the company’s growth and expertise makes him an extremely valuable asset to the company and the clients of Creative Automation.

Steve Hill

Steve Hill, Vice President of Research and Development

Steve began his career at Creative Automation in 1978 in the Merge/Purge department. He moved to a programming position and soon after into the Research and Development department as lead programmer. Steve’s experience with programming and detailed software development, have been a major contribution to the development of many Creative Automation products. His vast knowledge and commitment to understanding the most up-to-date industry technology allow Creative Automation clients to benefit from expedited and intuitive processes. Steve currently holds the position of Vice President of Research and Development.

John Stienbach

John Steinbach, Executive Vice President of Production and Client Services

John has been with Creative Automation since 1986. He currently holds the position of Executive Vice President of Production and Client Services in which he oversees production teams, the print production facility, and programming support personnel. His production teams include managers, customer service representatives, and production technicians that handle the data processing and personalization setups. The print production facility under John operates as a high-capacity unit with IBM Infoprint laser printers and Kodak Versamark inkjet printers sharing the personalization workload. One of the main focuses of John’s area is to provide an efficient, quality conscious, and flexible project flow environment for direct marketing, data processing, and production. The consolidation of Merge Purge and personalization operations into one division allows Creative Automation to be more responsive to customer needs.

Kevin O'Connor

Kevin O'Connor, Chief Information Officer

Kevin O’Connor has over 38 years in the Information Management industry with extensive background in supporting the financial services, credit card, consumer packaged goods, and retail industries. His particular in-depth knowledge of Customer Relationship Management, Customer Data Integration, Campaign Management, Response Analysis, Segmentation and Modeling has been honed in senior leadership roles in Direct Marketing agencies, international advertising firms, outsourcing marketing database service providers and data management organizations.

His balance between solution design & development, data center and network services operations, project management, and database marketing services consultancy has provided him with a thorough, in-depth understanding/appreciation of developing solutions from concept through ongoing solution support & management.

He is most recognized as being an effective intermediary between the marketing and IS/IT disciplines and for architecting short, medium and long-term solutions using information as a competitive advantage.

Kevin has been with Creative Automation for over three years and is charged with building a Business Intelligence practice that assists clients in implementing emerging data-driven marketing technologies, process workflow automation enhancements, and participating in strategic planning initiatives.

Kevin is married with two grown children and enjoys mentoring the staff by sharing his expertise and insight.

Gail Peterson

Gail Peterson, Director of Human Resources

Gail Peterson began her extensive career with Creative Automation in 1970 as a Receptionist. From there, Gail moved into a Marketing position where she became even more familiar with the internal workings of the direct marketing industry. Since 1993 as the Director of Human Resources, Gail's primary focus is to hire and maintain the highest quality individuals for all areas of Creative Automation, work directly with employees & management staff regarding all personnel issues, as well as manage all employee benefits including insurance and 401k benefit plans. Gail has used her education in Business Management from Upper Iowa University, her numerous classes in HR Management, and most importantly her 30+ years of Creative Automation experience to help the company grow from 12 employees to over 300. In addition to assisting Creative Automation employees, Gail is continuously networking with Human Resources personnel at our sister companies to discuss employee and benefit issues as well as to set up continuing education seminars. Gail's dedication to Creative Automation has allowed her to become instrumental in responding quickly to internal employee needs as well as to specific client requests.
